On the start line for the Tommy Compton Memorial Kids Prison run

Finally we get nice weather on the first day of a Limestone Race Weekend. Saturday has always been the day where the Kids Race, and the Waterfront 10K takes place. This year there were some changes. The Kids Race is no longer a measured 2K at Breakwater Park. Now it runs through the Kingston Penitentiary, turns around short of 2km, and offers a beautiful finisher medal for all.

The 10K Waterfront no longer starts and finishes at Emily Park. It also now runs through the Kingston Penitentiary, to continue out to Lake Ontario Park.

Full disclosure… this event is the first time I arrived late to photograph. Actually, I arrived on time, but accidentally left my camera bag in another vehicle and had to race home to retrieve it. The result is not catching the Kids Race start and the first half of the Kids crossing the finish line. My apologies.
