KRRA Canada Day Limestone Mile 2023

Canada Day Limestone Mile was four races. This is the start of the men’s race. A tight start, but it quickly stretched out.

KRRA Canada Day Limestone Mile, 2023

Every July 1st, Kingston celebrates not only the birth of our nation, but the joy of running. Running FAST. The Kingston Road Runners host the Limestone Mile. It’s an exciting running competition that comprises of four separate races: Kids under nine years old, kids 10 to 12 years old, females 13+, and males 13+. Every race gets faster than the last.

This year was a special Limestone Mile event, as the KRRA and the Dunbar family celebrated the life of our dear friend Kevin Dunbar. Kevin was a pillar of the running community who had many running and triathlete friends. The KRRA and Dunbar family came together and launched the Kevin Dunbar Memorial Scholarship Fund. This was the inaugural year and was awarded to two deserving high school graduates. Family of Kevin’s arrived from Ireland to participate in the memorial.

Kudos goes out to the hardworking team who made this year’s Mile event a smash success. Enjoy the photos…
