Masters 8K Race

The first race of the day was a mix of good and bad conditions. It was the warmest part of the day. It was the rainiest time of the day. BUT, the course was in the best shape of the day.

This race showcased a lot of local area running heroes. Several KRRA members took on this race as well as other local favourites who are amazing to watch – especially in such conditions – because you know their tenacity, experience and toughness chews right through the hard races.

Masters runners came from across the country. And judging by the camaraderie at the Awards ceremony, the Canadian XC Nationals are something of a reunion for old friends.
